A royal burger fit for a king.

During his recent service at the Royal Air Force Valley, The Telegraph reported that Prince William’s favourite snack was a lamb burger. According to chef Gareth Matheson, the ‘Royal Welsh Lamb Burger’ is a 450 calorie, half-pounder burger made with only local and fresh produce including Snowdonia cheese, bacon, a fried egg and a dash of mint sauce and paprika. "It was William’s absolute favourite,” Matheson claimed. “He liked the idea that we were using all local and fresh produce.”

Upon learning of the prince’s penchant for lamb burgers, fast-food giant Burger King decided to make their own version to be sent to Kensington Palace which, was aptly named the ‘Prince William Whopper,’ the Mirror reported. Though not as fancy as Matheson’s Royal Welsh, the burger featured a lamb patty with cheese, bacon and egg. Burger King told the Mirror they were bringing “a taste of our kingdom to the future King of England.”

Prince William isn’t the only royal with cravings. According to The Telegraph, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II reaches for Cornflakes or Special K in the morning and has a soft spot for jam pennies, sandwiches made with raspberry jam that are cut into tiny circles the size of old English pennies.

Prince Charles, on the other hand, is known for being extremely particular about his eggs. According to reports from Delish, he likes them hardboiled for four-minutes, not a second longer.
