Prince William was treated to an early birthday celebration as he watched England's clash with Denmark at the Euros 2024.

As president of the Football Association, the Prince of Wales witnessed a disappointing 1-1 draw during the match. Despite this, there was a bright moment for William when he reconnected with his old friend, King Frederik of Denmark.

Both royals were spotted in deep conversation before the game and later shared a photo together on the official Instagram accounts of both William and Kate and the Danish Royal Family, reports the Mirror.

Lip reader Nicola Hickley suggested to the publication the friendly banter included plans for a post-match drink, claiming King Frederik asked: "Do you drink Heineken? After the game, we should have one." She interpreted Prince William's response as a simple "Yeah."

The Euro outing happened mere hours ahead of William's birthday, which was marked by a heartfelt tribute from wife Kate that read: "Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much! Cx" on social media Friday morning.

A heartwarming photo captured by Kate last month in Norfolk, showing William and their three children joyfully jumping and holding hands, was shared with the public.

This delightful family moment emerged shortly after Kate made a brief return to the spotlight during Trooping the Colour last weekend, accompanied by William and their children.

However, in a candid update, the princess disclosed her battle with cancer is ongoing, stating she's "not out of the woods yet". Despite making progress, Kate opened up about experiencing ups and downs and mentioned she still has several months of chemotherapy ahead. She initially shared news of her cancer treatment in a heartfelt video message back in March.

In the year since his previous birthday, William has been proactive with his initiative Homewards, aiming to tackle homelessness across six UK locations over five years.

His dedication also extends to mental health advocacy and the Earthshot Prize, his ambitious £50 million competition designed to unearth environmental solutions for our planet's future.
