The weekend was clearly a popular one for high profile ‘I dos’, with Jennifer Lawrence marrying art dealer Cooke Maroney, Rafael Nadal marrying teen sweetheart Mery Perello and Napoleon descendant Prince Jean-Christophe marrying Countess Olympia Arco-Zinneberg in Paris.

Jean-Christophe Napoleon Bonaparte tied the knot with Countess Olympia Arco-Zinneberg in a sophisticated affair attended by a newly engaged Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The ceremony was held in Paris at the Saint-Louis-des-Invalides Cathedral and a number of European royals turned out to celebrate the couple's big day.

The Countess, who is actually distantly related to her husband as she is the great-great-great niece of one of Napoleon’s wives, wore a show-stopping Oscar de la Renta gown and diamond drop earrings.

Princess Beatrice and real estate developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who are gearing up for a wedding themselves, were photographed on the steps of the venue.

Princess Beatrice wore a wide brimmed hat, blue coat and floral dress with T-bar heels, while Mozzi wore a formal morning coat and waistcoat matched to the hue of his fiancee’s coat.

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi announced their engagement in September, saying that they were “so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together”.

The announcement was accompanied by a gallery of photos taken by Princess Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie, which showed the couple embracing as Princess Beatrice showed off her ring.

Members of the Greek royal family also attended the wedding, with Crown Prince Pavlos attending alongside Crown Princess Marie-Chantal - who appeared to have taken a note out of Kate Middleton’s playbook with one of her signature hatbands.

Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg also attended and was seen shaking hands with a priest, as Duke of Braganza Duarte Pio of Portugal and Isabel de Heredia were snapped outside the venue.

The bride and groom were seen grinning as they emerged from the venue, holding hands and kissing as guests applauded them.

They also made a very stylish getaway, stepping into a red convertible which sadly had its soft top hood up as it began to rain.
