Princess Diaries 3 gets an exciting update
The Princess Diaries 3 has received an exciting update.
Adele Lim, who previously worked on the family-friendly Raya and the Last Dragon and the less family-friendly Joy Ride, has come aboard the project as director in a reunion with Disney.
Debra Martin Chase is returning as producer from the first two films, while The High Note writer Flora Greeson is penning the script.

"As a diehard fan of the original Princess Diaries, I'm beyond excited to be a part of bringing the third iteration of this beloved franchise to life," Lim told Deadline.
"We look forward to celebrating its core tenants of female power, joy and mentorship with audiences worldwide."
Of course, Anne Hathaway is also back, and shared the article about the behind-the-scenes appointments to her Instagram, sharing a video referencing the "shut up"s from the first two films.
"Miracles happen," she wrote. "Back to Genovia with @adeleblim @disney @somewherepictures. The fairy tale continues."

It's a very positive change after the last update, which was a quote from Julie Andrews back in March, in which she said: "It's quite a long time now since the two Diaries were done, and I'm not sure, but sometimes it's best to leave a good thing alone.
"I don't like it when people milk and milk and milk the subject, you know, 'til it's dead.. I think, I may be wrong, but I think it's been shelved now – I can't be sure."
While Andrews comes across as not hugely keen to do another film, both Sandra Oh and Chris Pine have said that they would love to reprise their roles in a third entry.
The first two Princess Diaries films are available to stream on Disney+, while the third film does not currently have a release date.
