Princess Eugenie is to marry long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank at the same venue chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Queen's granddaughter will marry Mr Brooksbank in St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle in the autumn next year. Prince Harry and Ms Markle are tying the knot there in May.

The Duke and Duchess of York said their younger daughter and Mr Brooksbank got engaged while in Nicaragua earlier in January.

Buckingham Palace said Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah Duchess of York, were delighted to announce the happy couple were engaged.

The 27-year-old began dating Mr Brooksbank roughly seven years ago after they met while skiing in the Swiss resort of Verbier.

Mr Brooksbank, a socialite, is the former manager of Mayfair nightclub Mahiki but now works as a brand ambassador for Casamigos tequila which was co-founded by actor George Clooney.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “The wedding will take place in the autumn of 2018 at George’s Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course.”

Princess Eugenie, eighth in line to the throne, is the second daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York. She will keep her royal title when she marries and will have the option to take his surname.

Princess Eugenie started working for the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in London in 2015 as an associate director.
