Princess Eugenie's royal wedding highlights: the ceremony, guests, receptions and all the key moments

The celebrities flocked to Windsor and the castle was bedecked in flowers - the second royal wedding of 2018 did not disappoint.

Princess Eugenie has married her long-term partner, wine merchant and tequila ambassador Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie, 28, youngest daughter of the Queen's third child, Prince Andrew, and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, tied the knot with Mr Brooksbank, a 32-year-old drinks executive, at Windsor Castle.

The ninth-in-line to the throne followed in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who also chose the venue for their wedding in May.

Read on for all the details of the receptions and parties that came after the televised ceremony - and the low-down on who was there.

The Delevingnes get the party started

It looks like the people to hang out with at the reception and parties are Chloe, Poppy and Cara Delevingne, who appear to be having a lot of fun with their squad, which includes Liv Tyler.

They have been posting their various capers on Instagram - skirting on the edge of protocol.

Will we get a glimpse of the party as the night goes on? From one of the pictures, it looks like they have swapped champagne for a nice local ale...

Prince Andrew breaks protocol with some cheeky jokes at the reception

The Duke of York broke royal protocol at his daughter's wedding reception, as he publicly embraced his new son-in-law and regaled friends and family with the story of how Jack Brooksbank once mistook himself for the family dog.

The Duke, who said he had not prepared a speech, told guests at an afternoon reception at Windsor Castle of his pride in "Team Eug and Jack", who have married after eight years together.

Some pictures have come in of the rather grand wedding cake.

The five-tier centrepiece, made of layers of red velvet and chocolate, is covered in white icing and features the bride and groom's initials E and J in golden monograms around the base.

It was crafted by London-based cake designer Sophie Cabot.

Buckingham Palace said it was inspired by the rich colours of autumn. Princess Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank will cut the cake during their afternoon reception at Windsor Castle.

The cake was mounted on a golden stand, and on show in the vast St George's Hall.

It contains up to 400 eggs, at least 53 packs of unsalted butter, 15 kilograms of organic self raising flour, and 20 kilos of sugar. The cake consists of three tiers of red velvet and two of chocolate sponge cake covered with butter cream and white icing. Other ingredients include vanilla essence, vanilla bean paste and red food colouring to give the cake its distinctive hue.

Sweet sisterly love

We all need someone to carry our train. Luckily, Eugenie has her sister Beatrice, who helped her into her Aston so she could get on her merry way to the wedding reception.

The couple kiss

Princess Eugenie and her new husband Jack Brooksbank have shared their first kiss as a married couple.

The happy couple were surrounded by the bridal party, including Princess Charlotte, three, and Prince George, five, as they enjoyed the happy moment.

They shared two shy kisses on the steps, one just outside the chapel, and another before they boarded the Scottish State Coach for a public ride around Windsor.

As Eugenie and her husband left the castle, they passed the Galilee Porch at St George's Chapel, where they were waved off by other senior members of the royal family, including the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The carriage continued on to Windsor High Street, giving the couple the opportunity to see the well-wishers lining the streets.

Princess Eugenie chose a low-back dress for her wedding, as previously expected, and showed her scoliosis scars.

Eugenie was diagnosed with scoliosis when she was 12 years old and received treatment at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, undergoing a successful operation to straighten her spine.

Ahead of her wedding, the princess reflected on the surgery and the importance of the charity during an interview with ITV's This Morning.

She told host Eamonn Holmes: "I'm patron of their appeal and I had an operation when I was 12 on my back, and you'll see on Friday, but it's a lovely way to honour the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this.

"I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it's really special to stand up for that.

"So that's one really important one.

"But separate to that, other organisations that are there, it's just very important that they get a chance to be honoured for the work that they do constantly, so it's lovely that I can share this special day with them."

Bridesmaids and pageboys arrive

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and pop star Robbie Williams's daughter Theodora were among the youngsters with starring roles at Princess Eugenie's royal wedding.

They arrived in the same car, waving at the crowds.

The other bridesmaids were Peter and Autumn Phillips' daughters Savannah and Isla, and Zara Tindall's spirited four-year-old Mia, along with Maud Windsor, who is Eugenie's goddaughter and the daughter of Lord Frederick Windsor and his actress wife Sophie Winkleman.

Prince George, five, was joined by fellow page boy Louis de Givenchy - the six-year-old son of JP Morgan banking executive Olivier de Givenchy and his wife Zoe.

Pre-wedding jitters

Jack Brooksbank has paid tribute to his future wife Princess Eugenie, calling her a "bright shining light".

The Queen's granddaughter returned the compliment and described her fiance as "so humble and generous" during a television interview ahead of their wedding.

But Eugenie did reveal the moment she first saw Jack and the pair fell in love during a Swiss skiing trip.

She initially thought "what a silly hat" Jack was wearing, but was "all butterflies and nervous" when he came over to say hello, and later rang her mother that night to say she had met a new guy.

The couple were interviewed by husband and wife Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford from ITV's This Morning, who quizzed them about wedding jitters.

After Eugenie replied, "It's definitely creeping up on us now, the nerves" she went on to describe her first encounter with Jack while on the slopes at a friend' place in Verbier, Switzerland in 2010.

With her fiance beside her, the princess added: "I thought, 'what a silly hat!' and I thought, 'who's that?' and then you came over and shook my hand and I was all butterflies and nervous.

"I think I rang my mum that night and said 'I've met this guy Jack'... and that was it I think about how it started.

"I remember being like 'I really, really like this guy, I really want him to like me too' and then you gave me this huge windscreen wiper wave and that was it, right, he likes me."

Asked by Holmes to describe each other in three words, Jack said about his future wife: "She's this bright shining light."

Eugenie was not so succinct and replied: "Jack's the kind of guy, you know when you're lost at a party and you can't find anyone to talk to, and you start panicking and you need help? He'll walk in and make everyone feel so special.

"He'll scoop you up and talk to you and make you feel a million dollars... you're so humble and generous. So humble and generous - that's two words..."
