Princess Eugenie shares new pictures of baby August to mark special occasion

Princess Eugenie has shared sweet photos of baby August as she wished husband Jack Brooksbank a Happy Birthday on Instagram.

The royal posted a a picture of Jack holding August, wearing a knitted cardigan with his name sewed across it and a star-print wooly hat. In the second image, Jack could be seen smiling at the camera while holding August in a baby sling, and in the final pic, Jack was seen walking on what looked like the grounds of The Royal Lodge in Windsor.

"You are exceptional.. Happy Birthday my love," Eugenie captioned the photos. Jack turned 35 on May 3rd.

The couple welcomed August - full name August Philip Hawke Brooksbank - in February this year, with Eugenie recently describing her "joy" at becoming a mother in a newly published letter.

Writing to a royal fan to thank them for their good wishes, she wrote: "Thank you so much for thinking of us and celebrating the birth of our beautiful baby boy, August.

"Words can't express the joy and love we feel. With our very best, Eugenie and Jack."

Eugenie also recently enjoyed her first Mother's Day as a mum, sharing the message on Instagram: "I'm so excited to be August's mum and as you can see I'm enjoying my first Mother's Day. ⁣I'm also celebrating my beautiful Mumma with this picture of us from March 1990. You’ve taught me so much. Happy Mother’s Day to all."

Meanwhile, it was also Princess Charlotte's birthday over the long Bank Holiday weekend, who turned six. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared the photo of Charlotte which was taken by Kate at Anmer Hall, the Cambridges' Norfolk home on the Queen's Sandringham Estate.
