Princess Eugenie shares sweet selfie with Princess Beatrice from the eve of her wedding

Princess Eugenie shared a lovely selfie taken with Princess Beatrice on the eve of her wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi last month to mark the newlywed's 32nd birthday on Saturday (8 August).

The previously unseen snap shows the royals looking fresh-faced and happy as they pose together outside on the night before Beatrice tied the knot to property developer Edoardo on 17 July.

We can only assume that the photo was taken in the grounds of the Royal Lodge, Windsor, the sisters' family home.

In the accompanying caption, Eugenie wrote a touching birthday message to her big sister.

"Happy happy birthday dear Beabea," she wrote. "Here we are on the eve of your wedding. Still rocking a scrunchie or hair accessory (since the 90s) and huge smiles on our faces. ⁣⁣#happybirthday."

Eugenie's post also included a second adorable snap of the two of them as children with mum Sarah Ferguson, wearing floral dresses and, in Beatrice's case, a cute bow in her hair.

Unsurprisingly, the sweet post has proved hugely popular with royal fans, who have flooded it with likes and birthday messages for Beatrice.
