Princess Kate's cancer treatment ends after months of chemotherapy
The Princess of Wales has shared the happy news that her chemotherapy treatment has finally ended. She expressed her hope to resume a "light programme" of work as soon as she is able, with tentative plans to join her family at the Cenotaph for Remembrance Sunday.
Kate has been undergoing months of preventative chemotherapy treatment since March, when the Princess publicly shared her cancer diagnosis. The announcement came after major abdominal surgery that the Princess had earlier in the year.
Throughout her treatment and recovery, Kate has maintained a low profile, stepping out for only a few official engagements, including Trooping the Colour and attending the men's Wimbledon final in July. Today, the Princess has shared the happy news that her course of chemotherapy has ended.

However, she acknowledges that her journey to full health remains a lengthy one. In a statement given, Kate said: "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.
"The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown."
The Princess added the family have found comfort in the widespread love and support they've received. She and her family have been deeply moved by the messages of encouragement throughout her treatment.
She continued: "Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can."
Although the exact date of the Princess's official return to work is yet to be confirmed, it is understood that she hopes to accompany the Royal Family at the Cenotaph for Remembrance Sunday.
