Princess of Wales shares family photos from Sandringham on Mother's Day

The Princess of Wales shared heartwarming family photos taken at Sandringham to celebrate Mother's Day.

Two woodland photos were posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram page with the caption "Happy Mother's Day from our family to yours".

While it was posted on Sunday, the snap was taken by Matt Porteous, the couple's most trusted photographer, last year at the Sandringham Estate.

The first image shows Kate with her three children George, 9, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 4.

The second photo shows her cradling her youngest son Louis and the post has amassed half a million likes in a couple of hours.

The newly-released images were taken at the same time as those used in their 2022 Christmas card.

The Royal Family's Instagram account also posted a poignant image of the late Queen Elizabeth II with her eldest son King Charles as a baby.

The post said: "To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mums today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special Mother's Day."
