The Princess of Wales stepped out in a red tailored look for a charity visit in Windsor on Thursday (26 January).

Kate opted for a mid-length red coat which was a chic choice thanks to its straight fit and minimalist design, which creates clean lines.

The Princess doubled down on the bold red shade by pairing her coat with a co-ordinating turtle neck in the same colour. Vibrant tones are a great way to inject a little colour into a gloomy January wardrobe, and Kate's look is a lesson in the trend.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were out in Windsor to visit a local charity, Windsor Foodshare, to find out more about its important work providing food parcels in the community.

The couple also got involved with some of the work themselves, helping to sort food donations and prepare upcoming packages.

Earlier this week, the Princess of Wales hosted a meeting at Windsor Castle as part of her work around early years.

The Princess headed up the first meeting of the Centre for Early Childhood Advisory Group, part of the royal's work to research and support development in the first few years of children's lives.

Photographs of the meeting were shared on the official social accounts for the Prince and Princess of Wales, and show Kate sat around a table in discussion with various experts.

In a caption alongside the photos on Instagram, Kate said the group were, "discussing a shared passion for the extraordinary impact of the first five years of life and its role in shaping us."

She added that there were also "Very exciting things ahead…!" following the pivotal first meeting of the advisory group.

For the important first meeting, Kate wore a chic, dark suit over a crisp white shirt with a relaxed collar.
