Details about the Prison Break revival are coming thick and fast – so not only do we know the name of the spin-off, but we now know when it'll be hitting British screens.

The new nine-part series, Prison Break: Resurrection, will be heading over to the UK on Monday, April 10. And it will air at 9pm on FOX, just six days after its US premiere.

Resurrection will follow Wentworth Miller's Michael Scofield, who's currently behind bars in Yemen, and very much alive and kicking.

Toby Etheridge, head of programming at FNG UK, has promised the latest series will be "escapism as its best" – and quite literally, too.

Earlier today (March 10), fans were treated to a new teaser that showed Michael out of prison and with a knife to his throat, so is he about to die all over again?

Explaining why Resurrection will only have a nine-episode run, the writers recently revealed that it was the cast's busy schedules that limited the season.

"[The] entire cast is booked on other shows, so they had to squeeze a whole series into their breaks," a post on the show's Writers Room Twitter account read.

While William Fichtner won't be back as Alex Mahone for the new series, Paul Adelstein will be back as Paul Kellerman, alongside the likes of series regulars Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco and Robert Knepper.

Prison Break returns to Fox in the US on April 4 and heads to the UK on April 10.
