Kanye West’s meetings with President Trump are now the stuff of legend. And the 41-year-old American rapper has taken his Trump adoration to the next level by designing a ‘Blexit’ clothing range.

The ‘Blexit’ slogan encourages African Americans to leave the Democratic Party for the Republican Party, for which West claims to support.

The bright T-shirts and accessories, featuring the slogans ‘Blexit’ and ‘We Free,’ were launched this weekend at the Young Black Leadership Summit in Washington DC.

While West was noticeably absent from the event, controversial US conservative commentator Candace Owens confirmed they were his designs.

“Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colours, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West.

“[West] has taken one of the boldest steps in America to open a conversation we needed to have,” Owens said.

She also posted an image of a ‘Blexit’ hat next to one of President Trump’s Presidential campaign ‘Make America Great Again’ baseball hats. ‘My two favourite hats’ she wrote along with ‘#Blexit is about making America great by recognising that we are ALL Americans. We will no longer allow the media rhetoric and angry leftists to keep us apart.’

‘Blexit’ also has the support of self-proclaimed ‘America’s favourite black American Republican’ Rob Smith who posted multiple images of him wearing a ‘Blexit’ t-shirt at the same summit on Twitter.

He encouraged his followers to ‘Retweet if you’re with us and think it’s time for Black Americans to leave the Democratic Party FOR GOOD!’ The Tweet as of Monday morning had over 10 thousand retweets.

West told President Trump during his now infamous October 11 rant that ‘You know, people expect that if you’re black you have to be Democrat’ and said that he saw Republican President Trump as his ‘superman.’

“You made us Superman, that’s my favorite superhero, and you made a Superman cape for me,” West said.
