Professor Green accused of 'defending rapists' at Britain First rally

Professor Green has opened up about his difficult day at a Britain First rally, revealing that he’d been accused of “defending rapists” and “wishing kids got raped” whilst filming for a documentary.

The 33-year-old rapper shared his ordeal on Instagram, admitting that he was “dreading” the rally and would “rather not be” there ahead of turning up.

The far-right political group held the rally in Rochdale and were seemingly left unimpressed by Pro Green, real name Stephen Manderson’s, attendance.

Sharing a photo of himself on social media, the star wrote: “Short day in Rochdale… A person we’re filming with led us to filming on a Britain First rally. A conversation with one of their leaders quickly escalated into me apparently being ‘as bad as them’, someone wishing my kids got raped and generally just lots of shouting.

“Oh and apparently I was defending rapists? You couldn’t make it up – I think I’d asked what the party message is when someone from the crowd shouted that.

“Not a fan of further ingraining disunity, scapegoating and manipulating people by tapping into their unhappiness and giving them a ‘reason’ for all that’s wrong in their world – using the anger and unrest of the working class to incite hatred and cause division.

“F*cking horrible morning – get me a drink.”

It is not yet known what exactly this documentary is about, but Professor Green has worked with the BBC many times before to make hard-hitting television programmes.

In the past, Professor Green has fronted shows about suicide and mental health, homelessness, and dangerous dogs.
