Rumours have been circling over the past couple of days that some of the Love Island contestants have dramatically walked out of the villa, with reports claiming that Georgia Steel and Sam Bird have decided to be loyal after all and leave together.

Although ITV declined to comment on the rumour, it was suggested that a very dramatic recoupling ceremony pushed the pair over the edge and they quit together.

And now fans reckon they've spotted a tell-tale sign that Georgia and Sam are no longer in the game.

In a trailer for tonight's recoupling, the girls can all be seen standing in front of the firepit while the boys announce which of them they are choosing to couple up with.

But one girl who's not up there in the line-up is Georgia, who can instead be seen sitting down next to Sam and the other boys.

Could this be because they have chosen not to take part in the recoupling and instead leave the villa together?

A few days ago Georgia and Sam were voted to be one of the least popular couples by the public, leading their fellow Islanders to choose to dump them.

But when host Caroline Flack dropped a twist – the couple could stay if they split up and didn't recouple with each other – the pair decided to break up and continue on the show.

Despite the fact that they've been on dates with new Islanders, we've seen that Georgia and Sam have struggled to keep their hands off each other and they shared a passionate kiss in the bathroom (which a lot of you think broke the hallowed Love Island rules).

Sam said: "It's really difficult because me and Georgia have made this decision and I'm trying my best to get to know these girls. I just can't keep my hands off Georgia."

So does that mean the couple have quit so they can be together properly, despite the fact that the final is less than two weeks away? We'll have to wait until 9pm to find out...

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2, with the finale date being revealed as Monday, July 30.
