Prospective Students Climb Fence Into Pretoria Campus Amid Chaotic Late Registrations

Prospective students gathered outside the gates of the University of South Africa’s Sunnyside campus in Pretoria on January 15 after it was announced that late applications would be reopened.

However, chaotic scenes ensued as the university kept gates closed and only allowed in 20 students at a time to register. As a result, a number of people could be seen climbing over the fences around the campus.

A deadline of January 19 has been set for registration. According to the Mail and Guardian remaining places were being offered on a first come, first served basis. Credit: Twitter/therealrorisang | Rorisang Kgosana via Storyful‏
