Yahoo News Protesters Demand Gun Reform Outside Tennessee State Capitol
Protesters gathered outside Tennessee’s state capitol building in Nashville on Thursday, March 30, demanding gun reform legislation following Monday’s shooting at the city’s Covenant School.
Footage by Molly Laura Bosshart shows the crowd demanding action and holding signs, including one saying: “The lives of my students matter more than your guns.”
On Wednesday night, a citywide vigil was held and attended by political and media figures including First Lady Jill Biden and Sheryl Crow. Speaking at the vigil, Nashville Mayor John Cooper said Monday was “our city’s worst day.”
