Protesters Dressed as Bees Swarm Jo Swinson's Campaign Bus

Extinction Rebellion protesters dressed as bees swarmed Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson’s campaign bus in London on December 4, blocking the vehicle and demanding that climate change be top of agenda during the election.

One protester glued himself to the windshield of the bus. Swinson came out to speak to the other protesters, who made their “bee-mands”.

“I think it really is an important cause and it’s absolutely true that we are facing a climate emergency, we are in that now,” Swinson said.

When pressed on the Lib Dems’ plans for reaching net-zero carbon, Swinson said “it’s not only about the year we get to net zero, but it’s about how quickly we make cuts right now”.
