Protesters Face Off With Police on Washington's Black Lives Matter Plaza

Protesters gathered on Washington’s Black Lives Matter plaza on August 30 at a rally calling for the abolition of the police force, local media reported.

The Sunday night rally followed a demonstration the previous night during which five police officers were reportedly injured and several protesters were arrested.

In these videos, protesters can be seen on Black Lives Matter plaza – opposite the White House – after earlier facing off with a cordon of police. Officers reportedly deployed tear gas for the second night in a row during the demonstration. Credit: RawsMedia via Storyful
