Protesters Gather in Minneapolis After Man Fatally Shot by Police

Around 100 protesters gathered in Minneapolis on December 30, after a man was shot and killed by police.

According to the Star Tribune, it was the first killing involving police since the death of George Floyd in May.

This footage, recorded by Ellie Lin, shows protesters near the scene of the shooting on East 36th Street.

Police Chief Medaria Arradondo said a felony suspect was stopped at around 6 pm. He said that, according to witnesses, there was an exchange of fire, with the suspect firing first at police. Arradondo said bodycam footage would be released on December 31.
