Protesters Inside Hong Kong Polytechnic University Prepare Molotov Cocktails

Police stormed the campus of Hong Kong Polytechnic University in the early morning of November 18 after an overnight standoff with protesters holed up in the building.

Video here shows protesters inside the university, preparing Molotov cocktails on the evening of November 16.

Several hundred demonstrators held out in the campus despite being told to leave on Sunday, according to reports.

Police fired tear gas and water cannons in an attempt to disrupt protesters, who have occupied the facility for days.

The South China Morning Post reported that the normally serene neighborhood around the Polytechnic University campus had been turned into a “war zone.”
