Protesters March in Moscow Following Navalny Sentencing

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was sentenced to more than two years in prison on the charge of violating his probation while recuperating in Germany from a poison attack, TASS reported.

Protesters and Navalny supporters filled the streets of Moscow, near Pushkin Square, on Tuesday night following the announcement.

Local media reported heavy police presence and multiple detentions.
