Protesters March in St Lewis Suburb One Week After Stockley Verdict

Protesters marched in a St Louis suburb on the evening of Friday, September 22, to mark one week since a white police officer was acquitted for the shooting death of a black drug suspect.

Local reports described how protesters could be heard chanting “Hey, hey, ho, ho, these killer cops have got to go” as they made their way down Main Street in the suburb of St Charles.

Video shared to social media by a local activist showed protesters gathering at the intersection of Boone’s Lick and Main Street, before beginning the protest.

A report said that police arrested one man, who had punched a protester. Credit: Twitter/Search4Swag via Storyful
