Protesters Outside Mitch McConnell's Washington Home Call on Him to Honor Ginsburg's 'Wish'

Demonstrators gathered at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s Washington home on Thursday morning, September 24, amid continued calls to leave Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat vacant until after the 2020 presidential election.

Following Ginsburg’s death on September 18, McConnell released a statement confirming that the Senate would vote on a nominee for the Supreme Court put forth by President Donald Trump.

According to Ginsburg’s granddaughter Clara Spera, the late justice requested she “not be replaced until a new president is installed,” NPR reported.
