Protesters Rally Against NATO and Trump in Trafalgar Square

Crowds rallied in London’s Trafalgar Square on Tuesday, December 3, in protest against US President Donald Trump and NATO, which was holding its Heads of State summit in the city.

The demonstration was organized by several groups, including the Stop the War Coalition, the Kurdistan Solidarity Campaign, and Stand Up to Racism.

Organizers said on Facebook that they were protesting “the world’s largest nuclear-armed military alliance which is overseen by one of the most reckless US presidents in history.” They described Trump as a “racist, a misogynist, and a climate change denier,” and branded NATO “an aggressive and expansionist nuclear and military alliance.”

“Turkey, a NATO member, is currently attacking the Kurds in North Eastern Syria,” the group said.
