Demonstrators gathered in New York, New York, to rally in support of the people of Myanmar on Saturday, March 27, the same day at least 114 people were killed by security forces across the country, local media reported.
Radio Free Asia reported that at least 300 people had been killed in clashes between the military, police, and civilians between February 1 and March 26.
Spokesman for the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), an anti-junta group set up by deposed lawmakers, Dr Sasa, called March 27 “a day of shame for the armed forces.”
