Protesters Return to Streets of Beirut as Currency Hits New Low

Protesters returned to the streets of Beirut on March 2 as the pound hit a new low, deepening Lebanon’s economic crisis.

Protests were also reported elsewhere in the country, with locals’ purchasing power wiped out, and prices of consumer goods soaring.
