Protesters Set Fire to the Door of Mexico's Government Palace on International Women's Day
Protesters set fire to the entrance of Mexico’s Nuevo Leon Government Palace in Monterrey on March 8, following large demonstrations as part of International Women’s Day, local media reported.
Video filmed by Chantal Flores shows protesters marching towards the government palace, before the door of the Palacio del Gobierno is set on fire.
“Thousands march to mark International Women’s Day in Monterrey, Mexico, and to demand justice for the victims of gender violence and femicides,” Flores wrote in her post.
Local media reported shops and businesses in Monterrey were left smashed and vandalised after the demonstration.
