Protesters Shake Barricade During Pro-Palestinian Demonstration at George Washington University

Protesters were seen shaking a barricade as pro-Palestinian demonstrations resumed at George Washington University on Thursday evening, August 22.

Video captured in Washington, DC, by Hannah Marr with the GW Hatchet, an independent student newspaper, shows protesters rattling the barricade while chanting “f**k you and your barricades, power to the student brigade.” Marr told Storyful the protest was hosted by the DC, Maryland, and Virginia Students for Justice in Palestine coalition, which said the protest aimed “to let GW know that the people of this city continue to demand disclosure and divestment.”

The demonstration coincided with the first day of classes for the fall semester at the university, WUSA reported.
