Protesters Take to Tehran Streets Following Scientist's Killing

A crowd of protesters, described as students in a local news report, rallied near the Supreme National Security Council building in Tehran late on November 27 following the killing of top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Iran’s Defense Ministry described Fakhrizadeh as the head of its research and innovation division. He was killed when the car he was traveling in was targeted by gunmen in Absard, east of Tehran, state media said. Credit: ISNA via Storyful
