PSNI rescues python trapped in Belfast house fire
Police were tasked to the scene of a house fire in Belfast on Friday - and ended up rescuing a large python during the incident.
The reptile, named Jenner, is a reticulated python. It was found trapped inside the room of the property, and located by officers at the scene.
A PSNI spokesperson said Jenner is being cared for by a local animal rescue, but arrangements are being made for her care.

"Meet Jenner, a reticulated python that was unfortunately trapped in a room during a house fire earlier today," they said.
"With assistance from our colleagues in Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service who put out the fire, officers from our Local Policing Team made sure no other occupants were trapped but they located poor Jenner in a severely smoke damaged room.
"After speaking with a local animal rescue, they agreed to care for Jenner, and we are currently making arrangements to place her in their care."
