This is the shocking scene police in Northern Ireland were met with after responding to the report of a road traffic collision this week.
Photos of the crash scene in a Co Down town were shared by Police Newry, Mourne & Down on Facebook, in a warning to other drivers.
In a statement posted on social media, a PSNI spokesperson said that the collision in Ballynahinch on Monday night was the result of drinking alcohol.

The male driver of the car had a lucky escape after being thrown through the windscreen. He has since been arrested by officers for a number of offences, the PSNI said.
The police spokesperson added: "The result of drinking alcohol and driving...We attended this collision in Ballynahinch a couple of hours ago. The driver was lucky to escape with his life after being ejected from the car windscreen.
"He has been arrested for a number of offences. The message is clear - Never, ever drink and drive!"
