Psychiatric Hospital Heavily Damaged by Shelling in Kramatorsk

A psychiatric hospital in Kramatorsk in Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast was hit by heavy shelling, the city’s mayor said on September 7.

Footage by David Melero shows parts of the hospital destroyed.

Melero told Storyful that staff were trying to collect everything that was “essential and salvageable” from the hospital and that relatives of patients and workers came to the site to lend a hand.

Kramatorsk mayor Oleksandr Honcharenko shared photos of the hospital on Facebook. Honcharenko said there were no casualties but that the institution was seriously damaged.
