Pub organises new Christmas Market event for Woodhall Spa after cancellation
Following the news that the annual Christmas Fayre organised by the Woodhall Spa Rotary Club would not be going ahead this year, a local business has stepped up to organise a new festive event for the town. On Friday, December 6, The Mall on Station Road, Woodhall Spa will be hosting a smaller fayre to raise money for the charity LIVES.
There will be stalls with crafts, jewellery, sweet treats like fudge, or food like cheeses and chutneys. The event will begin at 5pm and there will also be a Christmas Musical Festival with festive performances from Sing It Loud, Rock Choir and Laura King Sings.
There will also be a late night shopping event in the town. This comes after the annual event by the town's Rotary Club, which usually has around 100 stall and attracts thousands of visitors, was cancelled over increased health and safety requirements.

The Rotary Club issued a statement on its website regarding the cancellation, stating: "Over the years the health and safety requirements surrounding the Fayre have steadily increased and additional measures have been imposed with the aim of mitigating potential harms to customers and stallholders.
"These measures have now become so onerous that our organising committee has concluded that they now represent an insurmountable barrier to holding the event." Following this decision, East Lindsey District Council says it is looking at how it can support local events by providing officer support and advice, including assistance with SAG advice.
