A public vote determined this is Britain's top seaside attraction
A Wirral attraction has landed in the top spot of this year's Bucket and Spade List. The Seaside Heritage Network collects open votes to determine which seaside destinations and experiences are most favoured by the general public.
Several themes came out in the comments from voters and the sense of continuity these places and experiences provided was key. Voters were nostalgic for things they enjoyed in childhood and were grateful for the opportunity to pass that on to the next generation.
Taking the top spot is New Brighton's New Palace and Adventureland entertainment centre. Located on Marine Promenade, visitors are treated to a massive selection of classic funfair rides, arcade games and outdoor activities.
