The Punisher's Jon Bernthal has said he is "at peace" with the show's possible cancellation.
Concerns for the future of the series, which dropped its second season on Netflix last week, have been raised following the shock axing of Daredevil, as well as the cancellation of Luke Cage and Iron Fist, leading to speculation that Disney's plan to launch its own streaming service Disney+ has derailed the Netflix Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Previously, Bernthal's co-star Deborah Ann Woll hinted that the second season of The Punisher could very well be the last.
And, speaking recently, Bernthal has declared himself "at peace" with the possibility.

"I know the reality of the situation and I'm at peace with it," he told Variety.
"I really only worry about the things I can control. When I'm playing the character and I'm doing the job and it's right there in front of me, I do whatever I can to make it as good as I can. But in this business there's so much we can't control.
"Whatever is happening with these shows, these decisions are being made in rooms I'm not invited into and I'm okay with that."

The Punisher showrunner Steve Lightfoot has already declared interest in making a third series.
He toldSyfy Wire: "We left season two in a place where my hope was everyone would just be like, 'Fantastic, I can't wait for season 3."
So, we guess it's in the hands of the Netflix gods now.
