Queen Camilla is returning to public duties — but she will skip a night at the movies with King Charles.

The Queen, 77, who has been suffering from a seasonal chest infection, came back to London on Nov. 12 to fulfill a diary date with the finalists of the literary Booker Prize.

Despite this, Buckingham Palace said she will not join her husband Charles on the red carpet of The Gladiator II film premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 13. PEOPLE understands that this is as a precaution and to lighten any strain on her as she gently returns to public-facing work.

Camilla, who was taken ill in the days after returning from a tour to Australia and Samoa, has been recovering at home in Wiltshire, western England.

To her regret she missed the commemorations on Remembrance weekend of Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 — pulling out as she didn’t want to pass on any lingering infection to others or set back her own recovery.

"While this is a source of great disappointment to The Queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week," a palace spokesman said at the time.

Her engagement on Tuesday, Nov. 12 is taking place at her London home, Clarence House, where she is set to meet the finalists of the prestigious Booker Prize and pose for a group photograph. The engagement is being curtailed slightly to account for her gradual return. Camilla is a big supporter of the literary world and of efforts to encourage reading and literacy.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, she will be alongside the King for a Buckingham Palace reception to promote the film industry in Britain. The couple is set to meet directors, actors, TV presenters, stunt performers and costume designers at an event to mark the centenary of the Film and TV Charity, which was set up to support those working in the industry who might be facing a range of personal and professional challenges.

On show at the reception will be a number of costumes and items from movies including Titanic (1997), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), and the late Maggie Smith’s costume from Evil Under The Sun (1982).

Music from TV shows, film scores, and musicals, performed by The Countess of Wessex String Orchestra, will also be played.

In the evening, Charles will step out without his wife at the premiere of Gladiator II, which is being hosted in honor of the charity as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations. Camilla had originally been scheduled to be with him at London's Leicester Square.

It is not thought to have been a serious illness, or cause for concern, but royal doctors have advised that the aides find ways of managing her return to duty after the infection, so what has been described as pragmatic adjustments have been made to her program this week.
