Bridgerton fans have an exciting spin-off show to look forward to as Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story arrives on Netflix.
Here's everything we know about the prequel so far, including its release date and cast.

The new six-part series is set to land on Netflix on 4 May.

Keen Bridgerton fans will be happy to see some familiar faces in the cast.
Of course, Queen Charlotte is the main character - so Golda Rosheuvel, who plays her in the original series, will reprise her role.
However, the main starring role goes to India Amarteifio, who plays a younger Queen Charlotte in the prequel series.
Adjoa Andoh also brings her Lady Danbury character to the spin-off, and will be joined by Bridgerton co-stars Ruth Gemmell as Violet, Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton, and Hugh Sachs as the Queen's secretary Brimsley.
Other cast includes Arsema Thomas, Connie Jenkins-Greig and Sam Clemmett as younger versions of Andoh, Gemmell and Sachs' characters.
Corey Mylchreest joins the cast as a young King George III.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story plot
Set in the Bridgerton universe, Queen Charlotte is a backstory series for the royal played by Rosheuvel and tells the story of her earlier life and rise to power.
Netflix says the series "tells the story of how the young Queen's marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton."
The series is set to take in some familiar settings from Bridgerton, including scenes at Syon House.

Previously, fans had been treated to a first look at the series as part of Netflix's Tudum fan event last September.

When is Bridgerton season 3 coming?
Bridgerton has been renewed for a third and fourth season, with Luke Newton's character Colin Bridgerton set to take centre stage in season three which will be based on Julia Quinn's book Romancing Mister Bridgerton.
Production began in July 2022, but as yet no release date for the new series has been confirmed.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will hit Netflix on 4 May 2023.
