The Queen wears yellow for Maundy Thursday service at St George's Chapel

The Queen donned a seasonal yellow outfit for her traditional Maundy Thursday service, which she attended with Princess Eugenie.

The Queen wore Stewart Pravin, a matching hat by Rachel Trevor-Morgan and an Australian wattle brooch for the service at St George's Chapel in Windsor.

During the service, she distributes Maundy Money to pensioners nominated for their hard work in the community, handing out silver coins.

The commemorative coins will be handed to 93 men and women – one for each year of the Queen’s life.

Princess Eugenie made a rare appearance at an official event with her grandmother, returning to the chapel where she was married last autumn.

She donned a stunning floral Erdem dress for the occasion.

When the Queen arrived at the chapel's north door with her granddaughter they were presented with traditional nosegays - which in ancient times warded off unpleasant smells - before taking their seats at the head of the congregation.

Maundy Thursday commemorates Christ’s last supper with the apostles in Jerusalem before being crucified and resurrected.
