Netflix has announced Queer Eye will return for season two on June 15.

The streaming service revealed the new season's premiere date on Thursday, just two months after it was announced the show would be renewed.

Queer Eye premiered earlier this year with a new Fab Five: Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Karamo Brown (Culture), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming) and Tan France (Fashion).

The second season of Queer Eye will see the cast return to Georgia, making connections and improving the lives of individuals in different communities.

The official description for the forthcoming season says: "This season, the Queer Eye Fab Five return to the Georgia heartland, forging connections with communities from a wide array of backgrounds and beliefs often contrary to their own, touching on everything from self-love and faith, to immigration and how to make the perfect homemade poke bowls and more!"

"These series are indicative of what we’re trying to accomplish for Netflix unscripted: working with world-class producers to create the best unscripted shows on television," said Bela Bajaria, vice president of content for Netflix when the show renewed in March along with other pieces of content.

He added: "These series elevate the genre with innovative takes on familiar formats. They deliver immersive and nuanced stories. They elicit so many emotions from viewers, from tears of laughter to tears of joy – and that’s just Queer Eye."

The inaugural season of Queer Eye highlighted the Fab Five helping a man called Tom build confidence and famously win back his ex-wife Abby; they remarried earlier this month.

The original version of the show - known as Queer Eye for the Straight Guy - aired from 2003 to 2007.

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy creator David Collins executive produces the Netflix version of the series under Scout Productions, alongside Michael Williams and Rob Eric.
