Solutions

1:A, 2:B - Corbyn went on to say: "Obviously there has to be strategy but the whole point of the referendum was that the public would be asked their opinion. They’ve given their opinion. It is up for parliament to now act on that opinion. There will be job consequences as a result of this decision. We have to do everything we can to protect jobs and working conditions in Britain.", 3:B - The UK has so far negotiated no new trade deals., 4:B - The terms and conditions on Seaborne Freight website appeared to be a cut-and-paste from a food delivery firm., 5:D - The notes, visible in suspiciously large writing, seemed intended to urge MPs to back Theresa May's deal. The move was described as "desperate stuff" by fellow Tory Michael Fabricant. Award yourself a bonus point if you knew who Mel Stride was. , 6:D - Coming in at around 110,000 words, the agreement is 585 pages long. Have you read it? Probably not. Have most MPs read the full text of what they are voting on? The jury is out on that one. , 7:A - Yes, it does. It specifically references Council Directive 2002/60/EC of 27 June 2002 laying down provisions for the control of African swine fever and Directive 92/119/EEC as regards Teschen disease. The agreement isn't exactly a page turner. , 8:B - Johnson wrote a column debating the merits of EU membership for the Telegraph in February 2016, in which he praised the single market, which he is now adamant the UK must leave. , 9:A - Yes, despite the government being found in contempt of parliament late last year for refusing to publish its full legal advice over Brexit, on the day before the crucial vote they were happy to publish a letter from the attorney general, Geoffrey Cox QC, which happened to back May's deal., 10:D - Esther McVey's letter of resignation also said: "The deal you put before the cabinet yesterday does not honour the result of the referendum. Indeed it doesn't meet the tests you set from the outset of your premiership.", 11:C - It will cost EU nationals £65 for the application process to be able to stay in the country after Brexit., 12:A - Cable has been leader of the Liberal Democrats since July 2017, after Theresa May's snap election, which cost her the Conservative majority in parliament. He has promised to step down once Brexit is 'resolved'., 13:A - Norwegian MP Heidi Nordby Lunde also said: "I do not believe it is in Norway’s interest to invite the UK into the Efta bloc. It would certainly upset the balance within Efta – and thus our relationship with the EU. Further, the EEA agreement presupposes a consensus between the countries to harmonise with the same EU laws and regulations the UK wants to veto.", 14:B - The comments were made by the Cardiff City football manager, Neil Warnock. The club have subsequently distanced themselves from his statement., 15:A - Cameron left the podium after resigning with a little sing-song ditty. It remains to be seen how and when Theresa May's time at No 10 will end.

Scores

  1. 5 and above.

A fair effort, but like the number of votes we expect May's deal to get today, you could do better

  2. 12 and above.

Well done. You are a Brexit expert. Possibly should have been in charge of negotiations

  3. 0 and above.

You don't seem to have been paying much attention to detail. A bit like some of our Brexit ministers.

  4. 15 and above.

Perfect score. You even remembered who Vince Cable was. Well done.
