According to an industry report, Apple could be bringing a sequel to R.Kelly's epic 33-part hip-hopera Trapped in the Closet to Apple Music.
Part album, part episodic drama, part music video, Trapped in the Closet is an audiovisual series which Kelly narrates and stars in.
Naturally, Kelly begins the first episode trapped in a closet. Closets, and being trapped in them, or occasionally cupboards, or other enclosed spaces, are a running theme of the series.
Even when Kelly's character isn't in a scene, he can't resist the urge to burst from the pantry, which any good narrator will tell you is a cornerstone of solid storytelling.
The news, which was originally sourced by Bloomberg, is of profound importance to those of us who believe that Trapped in the Closet is a seminal work of the 21st century.
Okay, maybe that's overstating it, but its interlocking dramas and questionable wordsmithery left us with fond memories back in 2005.
Now a report by Bloomberg indicates that Apple Music exec Jimmy Iovine is interested continuing the saga of Trapped in the Closet.
