Raab: Government thought Kabul was 'unlikely' to fall in 2021

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has said the central assessment of the UK Government was that Kabul was “unlikely” to fall in 2021. Under the scrutiny of the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee, he told MPs that the assessment was Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) and the military. He also said that he will be leaving the meeting to leave for the Afghanistan region.
