Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig 'so happy' over impending birth of first child

British actress Rachel Weisz has revealed she is expecting her first child with husband Daniel Craig.

The 48-year-old told the New York Times: "I'll be showing soon."

Ms Weisz said she and Bond star Craig, 50, who married in 2011, are delighted and added: "Daniel and I are so happy. We're going to have a little human.

"We can't wait to meet him or her. It's all such a mystery."

The Mummy star has an 11-year-old son from her relationship with director Darren Aronofsky.

Craig has a 25-year-old daughter from his previous marriage to actress Fiona Loudon.

The couple are extremely private and have only been pictured together on few occasions.

They got married in a quiet ceremony in New York with only four people attending, including their two children.

In 2015, Craig told GQ magazine: "We got away with it. We did it privately. And I've got a lot of people to thank for that. But that was the point.

"We did it for private reasons. Because we didn't want it f****d up, because that would be sharing a secret. And the whole point is that it was a secret.

"A secret is a secret in my mind."

Weisz's latest film, Disobedience, which she also produced, is about a young woman who becomes estranged from her father, a highly respected Orthodox rabbi in north London.
