A leading Shaykh welcomed RAF Squadron Leader Aamir Khan and Warrant Officer Lenny Brayshaw to Brierfield.
The RAF officers were joined by Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson at an Iftar (breaking of fast) event at the Al Gilani Ghausia Centre, hosted by the Shaykh Hashim Al Gilani.
Shaykh Hashim Al Gilani from Baghdad, Iraq is a world renowed scholar who travels the world spreading the message of 'peace, tolerance and love'.
A spokesperson for the mosque said: "They were overwhelmed by the hospitality shown by the Shaykh and enjoyed getting an insight into how Muslims open their fast during Ramadan.
"The event consisted of recitation of the Holy Quran, Songs of praise (Naat) and a speech by the Shaykh in regards to the sufism teachings of his ancestors Prophet Muhammad PBUH and Shaykh Abdul Qader Gilani. "
The Shaykh has thousands of followers from different parts of the world. He is also very passionate about football and is a trustee of Burnley Football Club.
