Rafael Strengthens to Category 3 Hurricane Near Cuba

A hurricane making its way through the Caribbean was packing estimated maximum sustained winds of 115 mph as of Wednesday, November 6, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.

Hurricane Rafael was located approximately 85 miles south of Havana as of 1 pm and was expected to make landfall on the island during the afternoon.

Timelapse satellite imagery shows Rafael moving through the Caribbean Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday.
