Raging Jack Draper smashes racket SIX times after dropping set in Davis Cup

Raging Jack Draper smashed his racket off the floor SIX times after dropping the first set in the Davis Cup to Felix Auger-Aliassime.

The young Brit is one of the rising stars in the current game and is representing Great Britain at the combined team and singles tournament where they've been drawn against Canada. Dan Evans lost out to Denis Shapovalov in the first of three round-robin games and that threw the ball into Draper's court to keep the hopes of progress alive.

But he didn't get off to the best start. There isn't much between the two rising stars, Draper ranked at a career high of 20 in the world rankings while his opponent, a former world No.6, just one place behind him. But it was the Canadian who took the first set on a tiebreak to draw first blood in the best-of-three sets encounter. And Draper, whose furious temper has been known to come to the fore, immediately set about smashing his racket, rattling it off the floor six times while screaming expletives.

The scenes were similar to the Cincinnati Open. He broke his racket there too after losing out to Holger Rune, the much-fancied Dane making light work of him with a 6-4, 6-2 win before Draper let the court have it.
