Rain Falls Briefly on Batemans Bay in Drought-Stricken New South Wales

Residents in Batemans Bay, New South Wales, witnessed a brief rainfall on December 21, as the region suffers through extreme drought and bushfires.

According to local reports, one person is confirmed dead in South Australia and one person is missing from New South Wales. Two firefighters have died and more than 20 homes have been lost in the blazes.
