Audiences are being invited to step behind the scenes at dance company Rambert’s Summer Installation show this weekend.

Focused on tearing down the formal barrier between audience member and performer, the immersive show will travel through Rambert’s South Bank building, trailing through the archive, corridors, loading bay, courtyard and green room, as well as the main studios.

The dance work is the culmination of the Rambert’s summer residency, curated by guest artistic director Benoit Swan Pouffer, critically acclaimed choreographer and former principal dancer at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

For the past three weeks, the resident dancers have been working daily with cutting edge guest artists including Maëva Berthelot, Abdur-Rahim Jackson and Ebony Williams (of Beyoncé’s Single Ladies video fame) to create the piece.

Audience members can book tickets for free beforehand and with a pay what you decide option after the show.
