Fulham put seven unanswered goals past ten-man Blackburn at Ewood Park to move within two points of Championship leaders Bournemouth.

Harry Wilson, Neeskens Kebano and Rodrigo Muniz all scored twice each, with the division’s top scorer Aleksandr Mitrovic also on target in the 7-0 thrashing as Rovers capitulated after Jan Paul van Hecke’s 30th-minute red card for a high tackle on Wilson.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, suffered their first league defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Preston, Alistair McCann’s strike 12 minutes from time proving decisive after Philip Billing had cancelled out Ben Whiteman’s opener.

The two sides are now separated by just two points as they continue to lead the race for automatic promotion, with West Brom remaining four points adrift of Fulham in third after Karlan Grant’s goal earned a 1-0 win over Hull.

Elsewhere, QPR continued their playoff push with a 1-0 victory away to struggling Cardiff thanks to Andre Gray’s first half effort, the three points taking them up to fifth.
